Faith Ama Agyapong, a 26-year-old Lady, a seamstress from Wamfie Sawmill Near, Young Executive in the Dormaa East District. She has always been passionate about her work and providing for her family. Despite her busy schedule, she never neglected her health and always made sure to go for regular check-ups.
However, when she heard about the free cervical cancer screening services being offered by the Women's Health to Wealth organization in her community, she knew she couldn't miss the opportunity. Knowing how expensive such procedures can be, Faith was relieved that she wouldn't have to worry about the financial burden.
In January 2024, Faith went for the screening and to her surprise, she was diagnosed with cervicitis. She was immediately given the necessary treatment by skilled providers. Faith was then asked to come back for a follow-up in June 2024.
True to her word, Faith returned to the Wamfie district hospital for her review on the 25th June 2024. She was hoping to hear that the cervicitis was cleared, but unfortunately, the midwife found a precancerous lesion. However, Faith didn't lose hope as she knew she was in good hands with the skilled providers.
She was scheduled for thermal ablation, a procedure that uses heat to destroy abnormal cells in the cervix. Faith was nervous but she trusted the trained providers at the hospital and the support she received from Women's Health to Wealth.
She was overjoyed and grateful to the Women's Health to Wealth organization for their interventions. Without their free screening services, Faith wouldn't have known about her condition and could have ended up with a more serious disease.
Faith's success story is just one of many that Women's Health to Wealth has helped create in their community. They have been providing free screening services to women, empowering them to take charge of their health, and educating them on the importance of early detection.
Faith is now an advocate for cervical cancer screening and encourages other women in her community to take advantage of the services offered by Women's Health to Wealth. She is also grateful for the continuous support and follow-up care she receives from the organization.
Thanks to the Women's Health to Wealth organization, Faith's life has been saved, and she can continue to pursue her dreams and take care of her family. She is a living proof that early detection and timely treatment can turn a potential tragedy into a success story.
